nimbus

\NIM-buhs\, noun:
1. A cloud or atmosphere (as of romance or glamour) that surrounds a person or thing.

--I opened the door and there she was, covered in a robe, ensconced in an Aphrodite-esque nimbus. That is, until she shut off the humidifier.

2. (Meteorology) A rain cloud.

--Son, when I named you "Nimbus" I didn't know you'd be the dark spot in my life as well as others'. I feel partially responsible.
